The Bible refers to wisdom 479 times.  We should seek to obtain more wisdom each day because it enables us to see and understand life through the mind and eyes of God.  Worldly knowledge is the gathering of information but just because a person accumulates facts, it does not necessarily mean they are spiritually wise.  May we ask the Lord to reveal to us the MEANING of our knowledge that we might truly comprehend the depth and height of what we have learned. Wisdom is a gift from the heavenly dimension, a revelation of the deepest mysteries and the enlightenment of the Holy truth from God’s Spirit into our spirit.  Wisdom is a direct attribute of God’s nature and our entrance into the highest realm of perception, discernment and spiritual illumination.  Let us pray for wisdom that we might comprehend the instructions and visions of our heavenly Father. Prepare to be saturated with HOPE and ENCOURAGEMENT, and enjoy the peace and love of His presence.

Our murmuring is the devil’s music.’ – Thomas Watson

If you don’t plan to live the Christian life totally committed to
knowing your God and to walking in obedience to Him, then don’t
Begin; for this is what Christianity is all about. It is a change of
Citizenship, a change of governments, a change of allegiance. If
you have no intention of letting Christ rule your life, then forget
Christianity; it’s not for you.” – K. Arthur

No sort of defense is needed for preaching outdoors, but it would
take a very strong argument to prove that a man who has never
preached beyond the walls of his meetinghouse has done his duty.
A defense is required for services within buildings rather than for
worship outside of them.” – William Booth

One hundred religious persons knit into a unity by careful
organization does not constitute a church any more than eleven dead
men make a football team. The first requisite is life, always.”
– A. W. Tozer

It is God’s way to let ministers try all their strength first, and
then He Himself comes and subdues the hearts they cannot.”
 Jonathan Edwards

Finney preached, and sometimes the entire congregation would
get up and leave! That’s good preaching.” Leonard Ravenhill

“We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly
disguised as impossible situations.” – Chuck Swindoll

The messenger must first draw from the endless well of secret prayers and the intimacy of being brokenhearted before God. The individual must be filled with His fire before they speak, so their words do not fall cold and lifeless.” William Holland Jr.

I am convinced that many evangelicals are not truly and soundly converted. When they read the Sermon on the Mount or the teaching passages of the epistles that tell them how to live or the doctrinal passages that tell how they can live, they are unaffected. The Spirit who wrote them is not witnessing in their hearts because they have not been born of the Spirit.” – A. W. Tozer.

It is simply absurd to say you believe, or even want to believe in Him, if you do not do anything He tells you.” – George Macdonald

With all your getting get unction.” – Leonard Ravenhill

Being broken is both God’s work and ours. He brings His pressure to bear, but we have to make the choice…All day long the choice will be before us in a thousand ways.” – Roy Hession.

Let me learn by paradox that the way down is the way up, that to be low is to be high, that the broken heart is the healed heart, that the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit, that the repenting soul is the victorious soul, that to have nothing is to possess all, that to bear the cross is to wear the crown, that to give is to receive, that the valley is the place of vision.” – Collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions.

When the Lord reveals His will to us and we obey, our mission will be a success regardless of the results.” – Chinese house church leaders

Worship renews the spirit as sleep renews the body.” – Richard Clarke Cabot

The saintly Andrew Bonar used to soak his pillow with tears every Saturday night in Scotland as people below trampled the streets returning from the taverns and shows. He would cry from the
depths of his agonizing heart, Oh! They perish, they perish!”

“In Acts the apostles prayed for 10 days then preached for 10 min-
utes and 3000 people were saved. Today pastors pray for 10 minutes
then preach for 10 days and wonder why no-one is saved.”
-B.H. Clendennen.

“There is a lot of soft, sentimental talk about Jesus today that brings
no conviction. When Isaiah saw the Lord, he did not feel comfortable!
Neither did Habakkuk nor Daniel nor Paul nor John. We want a
picture of Him today that does not disturb us, that smiles at sin,
and winks at iniquity. I remember a man who told me he wanted to
hear no hell-fire sermons but rather about the meek and lowly Jesus.
Yet the poor man did not seem to realize that the meek and lowly
Jesus said more about hell than is reported from the lips of anyone
else in the Bible! We need a true and complete vision of God in
His holiness and Christ in His glory that will bring us to repentance.”
-Vance Havner.

“Some years ago a fearful railroad wreck took a dreadful toll of life
and limb in an eastern state. A train, loaded with young people
returning from school, was stalled on a suburban track because of what
is known as a “hot-box.” The limited was soon due, but a flagman was
sent back to warn the engineer in order to avert a rear-end collision.
Thinking all was well, the crowd laughed and chatted while the
train-hands worked on in fancied security. Suddenly the whistle of the
limited was heard and on came the heavy train and crashed into the
local, with horrible effect.
The engineer of the limited saved his own life by jumping, and some
days afterwards was hailed into court to account for his part in the
calamity. And now a curious discrepancy in testimony occurred. He was
asked, “Did you not see the flagman warning you to stop? “He replied,
“I saw him, but he waved a yellow flag, and I took it for granted all
was well, and so went on, through slowing down.” The flagman was
called, “What flag did you wave? “A red flag, but he went by me like a
shot.” “Are you sure it was red?” “Absolutely.” Both insisted on the
correctness of their testimony, and it was demonstrated that neither
was color-blind. Finally the man was asked to produce the flag itself
as evidence. After some delay he was able to do so, and then the
mystery was explained. It had been red, but it had been exposed to the
weather so long that all the red was bleached out, and it was but a
dirty yellow! Oh, the lives eternally wrecked by the yellow gospels of
today. The bloodless theories of unregenerate men that send their
hearers to their doom instead of stopping them on their downward
road!” – H. A. Ironside

“And what is wrong with the old method of scaring the ungodly with
a sermon on hell?” – Vance Havner

“It is a poor sermon that gives no offense; that neither makes the

-George Whitefield.

“A person repents when he comes to the place where he discovers
that the will of God is the government of his life and the glory of
God is the reason for his life. He only has repented who has
changed his mind about his reason for being.” – Paris Reidhead

If you don’t see the greatness of God, then all the things that
money can buy become very exciting. If you can’t see the sun
you will be impressed with a street light. If you’ve never felt thunder
and lightning you’ll be impressed with fireworks. And if you turn
your back on the greatness and majesty of God you’ll fall in love
with a world of shadows and short-lived pleasures.”
John Piper

How is it that the soul being of such value, and God so great,
eternity so near and yet we are so little moved?” – William Bramwell

A real minister of the gospel is a man of prayer. Prayer is his
grand employment, his safety, his first and perpetual duty; and
under grace, the grand source of his consolation. Our instructions
will be always barren if they are not watered with our tears and
prayers.”  Thomas Coke

A man may study because his brain is hungry for knowledge,

for God.”  Leonard Ravenhill

“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within,

– Corrie Ten Boom

“Jesus of Nazareth always comes asking disciples to follow him–
not merely “accept him,” not merely “believe in him,” not merely
“worship him,” but to follow him: one either follows Christ or one does not… We either make him Lord of all lords, or we deny him
as Lord of any.” – Lee Camp

“The choice we face is not, as many imagine, between heaven and hell. Rather, the choice is between heaven and this world.

“Jesus calls us to his rest, and meekness is His method. The

“We should be more concerned with reaching the lost than
pampering the saved.” – David McGee

“One of the consequences of sin is that it makes the sinner pity himself instead of causing him to turn to God. One of the first signs of new life is that the individual takes sides with God against himself.” – Donald Barnhouse

“You can sing all you want about how you love Jesus, you can
have crocodile tears in your eyes, but the consecration that

– Adrian Rogers

“When we ignore God, the demons will ignore us, however, when we obey God the devil will take notice and declare war against us.” – William F. Holland Jr.

Let us enjoy the innocent moments with a precious tiny baby before it becomes old enough to break our heart.” – William F. Holland Jr.

“Stop making what someone did to you, bigger than what Jesus did for you.”

One’s profession, an occupation, or vocation, should be more than just a way to earn money. It can and should be a “labor of love” through which one engages in some activity that has, at least, three rewards. A profession should enable one to render a service that is needed, to make a meaningful contribution to others, and to satisfy the basic needs and desires of the self.

A profession may involve hard work, and sometimes it can be difficult as most of us know. But a right attitude can transform the hardest work into a peaceful and satisfying “labor of love.” Linda Evans Parlette got it right when she wrote, “To work at the things you love, or for those you love, is to turn work into enjoyment and duty into privilege.

“We love the idea of going to heaven but are not enthused to hear that salvation is not what we thought it was. Salvation means everything but it will also cost us everything.” William F. Holland Jr.

“Every Christian should be both conservative and radical;
conservative in preserving the faith and radical in applying it.”
– John Stott

“Many Christians ‘stall out’ in the faith when the call to total
commitment is received or viewed as something too high or too
hard to acquire…or they have never been taught that total
commitment is Christ’s demand for all His followers.”
– Chip Ingram

“The Christian life is not adding Jesus to one’s own way of life
but renouncing that personal way of life for His and being willing
to pay whatever cost that may require.”
– John MacArthur

“More than once Jesus deliberately addressed certain issues that quickly diminished the number of onlookers. It was the commitment that thinned the ranks.” – Chuck Swindoll

“You never hear Jesus say in Pilate’s judgment hall one word that would let you imagine that He was sorry that He had undertaken so costly a sacrifice for us.  … you never hear a
groan or a shriek that looks like Jesus is going back on His commitment.”
– Charles Spurgeon

“It costs to be faithful. It cost Abraham the yielding up of his only son. It cost Esther to risk her own life. It cost Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego being put into a fiery furnace. It cost Stephen death by stoning. It cost Paul his life.
Does it cost you anything to be faithful to your Lord and King?”

“Sadly, it seems that most Christians are more interested in going to heaven than knowing God.” William F. Holland Jr.

We are not to stand around waiting on some great end-time revival – we are to realize that God is waiting to pour out His Spirit in our life so a great revival can begin in us! William F. Holland Jr.

“A wife who is 85 percent faithful to her husband is not faithful at all. Likewise, there is no such thing as part-time loyalty to Jesus Christ.”

Anyone can find knowledge, which is the accumulation of information, but wisdom is understanding knowledge through the eyes of the divine.

Picture 1

Only God is the total containment of all wisdom. He has woven his wisdom into the fabric of creation and desires for humanity to seek and embrace its beauty and power. Our desire to search for deeper truth is a response to a voice of a higher dimension. The ability to recognize the need for wisdom is a divine gift. Wisdom is super-natural and is the key to becoming the fulfillment of God’s intentions.

Christians should be known for integrity and sound counsel. Christ should know us for our allegiance as we manifest the fruit of His character. The world should know us as a generous philanthropist, a sensitive listener and a compassionate samaritan toward all people.

“From where does wisdom come? And where is the place of understanding? It is hidden from the eyes of all living and concealed from the birds of the air. Destruction and death say, ’We have heard a report about it with our ears.’ God understands its way, and He knows its place. For, He looks to the ends of the earth and sees under the whole heavens to establish a weight for the wind and apportion the waters by measure. When He made a law for the rain, and a path for the thunderbolt, then He saw wisdom and declared it; He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out. And to man, He said, ‘behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding” Job 28:20-28

097“For this commandment, which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off.  It is not in heaven, that you should say, “Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?”  Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “Who will go up over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?”  But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess. But if your heart turns away so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them, I announce to you today that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land which you cross over Jordan to possess. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days” Deuteronomy 30:11-20

tumblr_m4qyyvGJMS1qmhvijo1_500 It is no secret that God has chosen the Jewish people to be the apple of His eye.  This has been evident throughout history as we see God having His hand of favor upon them and the rest of the world being envious of this blessing.  The Gentile Christian should be excited to discover they are also recipients of the Abrahamic covenant that contains the most powerful inheritance in the universe.  It is the promise about the seed bringing forth the messiah that will redeem all believers.  Here is the scripture that assures the Gentile Christian that all spiritual and earthly blessings are heirs according to the promise.

“For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you”  Romans 11: 16-18

The wild olive tree is the Gentile Christians. The cultivated olive tree refers to Israel, those who inherited the promises of the Abrahamic and Mosaic covenant. The Gentiles have been supernaturally connected to the family of God and have been grafted into the original vine of the holy promises and therefore have become spiritually adopted as true sons and daughters of God’s eternal blessings. This is continued with the new covenant promises pertaining to the blood of Christ, the last testament and will of Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit.
