The Desperation Factor (I)

V-MAIL TO THE FRONTLINE

PART 19

THE DESPERATION FACTOR (I)

“Yes, doubtless and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ. And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death”. (Philippians 3: 8-10)

“At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes”. (Mathew 11:25)

I have been troubled by the recent events lately and I feel an attack on my mind through an overload of information. I love to live in peace and the joy of God’s glorious salvation but I confess that I feel surrounded by worry and unrest. The media loves to squeeze every drop of drama out of every news flash for the purpose of stimulating our emotions. But being over-stimulated brings a condition of “numbness” and this “zombie” state of mind is the war strategy of Satan that intends to keep God’s people more concentrated on the problems than the solutions. If the saints live in a state of panic and act like they do not have a clue what to do, how are they going to be a help when things really start to fall apart? Now is the time we must decide, are we going to be an OVERCOMER or embrace the default which is weak and ineffective? Are we going to be Holy Ghost filled “lights” in the darkness that will help lead others to Jesus? Or are we going to spend these last hours hiding under the bed hoping that Jesus will rescue us from being uncomfortable? We are on a mission to tell the blind ones about the world we are from and the joy of living with God NOW and forever! We should not be agreeing with everyone we talk to about how hopeless things are looking but we should be an “instant optimist” about how wonderful it is to know that God is in total control and what an awesome privilege it is to walk with Him in His Divine Reality. Yes, but how do we do that without looking like an arrogant, know it all, “holier than thou” fanatic? How DESPERATE are you to serve on the frontline? We need to pray in the mornings before we go to work that God will use us in Divine appointments all day long. If we sincerely desire for this to happen then we must by faith EXPECT super-natural miracles to manifest. Being sensitive to who we are talking with and what they are saying will prove beneficial as God gives us the words to say. When we flip the switch and begin communicating in our old nature then we usually come into agreement with carnality. This makes us less effective to everyone because when people REALLY want to know truth – will they go to someone who believes like they do? Selah.

We know what is coming and God is saying to all of His children to be prepared for ministry! Concentrating all of our time and energy on the material world will not help anyone in the days of great spiritual need. We have been through boot camp and have now been deployed to be used as a tool of Divine intervention with everyone we communicate with!
If that is not the purpose of our mission – then I challenge you to explain what walking in the Spirit is? “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring. Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven will be shaken”. (Luke 21:25-26)

I do not rejoice when I see vengeance being taken. I am sad at the condition of the human heart and the abominable acts the conscience can carry out. Jesus was serious and aggressive but He was also a tender hearted man of sorrows because He knew the depravity of a human soul. I do not want to kill all of the bad people of the world – I would rather see them encounter a Divine appointment from the Holy Spirit and surrender their heart to Jesus. I feel the sorrow for the darkness and violence of the world. Negative energy is sin and to become filled with rage and unforgiveness is like pouring fire on our love as it steals the strength of our joy. I must choose (the same as you) to stay focused on the promises of God’s Word and the hope of His glory that dwells within my heart. Beyond the death threats from the kingdom of darkness, the tragic loss of a respected prophet and a world of violence and unrest, there is a place of peace and victory today – under the shadow of God’s wings. Tune out the voices of doom and turn off the incoming flow of fear because they are sharpened arrows aimed at our heart. Let us gather knowledge of God’s Word instead of drinking in the poison of the devil’s taunting! Our hope is not invested in this dying world! Our future home is the Holy city, New Jerusalem!

We all are faced with two different desperations in this hour. They are completely opposite in nature as one is from the Kingdom of heaven and the other from the darkness of hell. They both wait for us to embrace them and each one has the power to lead us and control us. The good desperation comes from a revelation of who God is and a sold-out desire to love Him with all of your strength. The awareness of His presence creates an automatic sense of humility which in turn leads us to obedience. When we willingly pull away from this default system and become completely committed to walking and living in His presence we realize how much more desperate we are to stay as close to Him as we can. As we sing and lift our hands in praise we are filled with joy and the freedom to rejoice and dance to clap our hands, cheer, exalt, shout, run and jump around and communicate our gratefulness. Worship is a deeper level of our declaration of love and dependence to Him and prayer is an even more intimate place of DESPERATION to get closer to Him and to know Him more. The more serious we are about “knowing” Him – the more determined we will press into Him! Our love is proven by how much time we spend with Him.

Desperate people pray fervent prayers! The definition of fervent in the Webster’s New World Dictionary is “hot, burning, boiling and glowing. Having or showing great warmth or feeling; intensely earnest”. That is the problem with the modern church – They do not understand DESPERATION or the need to be fervent. Many of the prayers are weak which matches their commitment to Christ. The religious world has adopted the comfortable concept that everything will be ok in the end.

Adam was given access to the inheritance of the Kingdom of God but he lost His authority just as Lucifer lost His. Mans destiny was to rule the world in the power of God’s Word and Spirit. God’s will is for His people to walk in spiritual authority NOW because Jesus has restored God’s Kingdom through His blood covenant. God’s Kingdom and all of His treasures are now residing inside the hearts of His people. But many saints have not become DESPERATE enough to seek and find the revelation of this Divine Reality.

What about walking in God’s presence and seeing our lost loved ones coming to know Jesus as their personal Savior?
What about being debt free and living in the abundance of financial security so we can finance God’s Kingdom?
What about being sensitive to divine appointments and speaking God’s messages to everyone we see?
What about knowing when to reach out to listen and counsel or heal someone with a cut finger or a terminal illness?
What about raising people from the dead? Is that impossible?
What about walking in such a powerful anointing that people are saved on the spot when we tell them about Jesus?
What about walking so pure and holy in God’s reverence and humility that people can see and feel Jesus in us?
What about being used to manifest God’s signs, wonders and miracles so the world may know that the Father is the One true Almighty God? Are these not the orders for our mission?

We cannot say “I believe God can do it” and expect to receive because that is not faith. It is like saying I believe God can save me if He wants to. The heathen believe there is a God – they even believe God is who He says He is. And the devil also believes more than anyone because He has dealt with God for who knows how long. Satan “knows” God is true and he knows He is the Almighty God of everything! But that does not mean he will change or receive benefits from Him. Somehow we must find the key that can unlock the revelation of getting what we know to manifest in our life. We are reading, praying and decreeing God’s Word everyday but are not seeing or experiencing the signs, wonders and miracles that we know God wants to do through us. We are not DESPERATE because we have allowed the blessings of the default system soften our need to fight. The fire in our belly has become quenched with pleasure and our aggressive war-mode is now become an expert on compromise. We are groggy from the excess of food and the desire to sleep. Warriors cannot take off their armor and sit in the lazy boy every night entertaining their flesh. God’s blessings are to be enjoyed but never intended to absorb us as we indulge our carnality to the point of living in a self-induced coma. Revive us Oh God! The giant has fallen asleep!
The abundant life is about spiritual discipline and holy wisdom not about who has the biggest house or who has built the largest 401K retirement account. When God’s people become DESPERATE to see the revealing of His power and glory – miracles will happen and lives will be changed! But what is it going to take for God’s people to fall on their face in humility?
